My 13 year old colourful notebook where I collect teaching ideas. Now beautifully 'annotated' by my two year old!
Welcome to my website! Full of quick wins, low-prep activities, tech ideas and general tips and hacks to help you sprinkle a bit of variety into your lessons, engage and motivate learners and hopefully maintain a healthy work/life balance. I have been collecting so many engaging and inspiring ideas over the years and rather than hide them away in my 13 year old notebook (which I still use when lesson planning), I thought I would share them with the online world!
The odd idea may require a bit more effort (see 'more creative') but the general idea is that you can have a read of this website with your morning coffee and implement some of the ideas that day! Speaking of coffee, if you do find this website useful and would like to click the 'buy me a coffee' button, I am always extremely grateful :) But otherwise, I will continue to share the ideas and resources for free. I also hope to add more German-specific resources as these are often hard to come by (see Deutsch). But all of the other ideas work for the teaching of any language. I constantly update the website so please keep checking in!
I also run the hashtag #MFLinsta (an amazing feed of inspiring ideas from the Instagram MFL world - check it out) and I share lots of ideas on my account. My weekly Tech-Tuesday posts include my favourite ICT tools as well as Quick-Win Wednesdays.
